Tuesday March 24, 2026, 12.00 – 14.00
VISCHER AG, Schuetzengasse 1, 8001 Zurich
The era of autonomous driving is no longer a distant future; it is rapidly becoming our present reality. As vehicles evolve from driver-assisted to being fully autonomous, several driverless projects for public transportation and logistics are already running in Switzerland or will start soon. This new technology challenges our legal system and raises complex legal questions.
We cordially invite you, in collaboration with the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, to a Lunch & Learn event on the legal landscape for autonomous driving.
Join us as we explore the critical legal challenges emerging from this technological revolution.
We will provide insightful analysis on key topics, including:
Road traffic regulations: What types of automated driving are permitted in Switzerland? Which requirements do automated vehicles need to meet? What (special) rules apply to automated driving? We will discuss the regulatory frameworks governing the testing, deployment, and operation of autonomous vehicles.
Liability: In the event of an accident, who is responsible? The owner, the manufacturer, or the software provider? We will analyse the complex web of liability and the shift from driver responsibility to product liability.
Data Protection: Autonomous vehicles are data-generating powerhouses. We will address the crucial data protection and privacy concerns, from the collection and use of personal data to cybersecurity threats.
We are pleased to invite you to this Lunch & Learn event in collaboration with the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
